Responsibilities

The Graduate Intern Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the development and execution of field & marketing tactics for an exciting first-in-class biomarker-driven therapy in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer called Lumakras™ (sotorasib) for KRAS G12C mutation positive patients. Lumakras™ is an important launch brand that is the first lung cancer therapy in Amgen’s oncology portfolio.

You will have the responsibility of supporting multiple initiatives from concept through execution during this important phase of the launch. You will be responsible for the project management, implementation, analysis (including measurement and reporting) of a variety of tactics, and educational activities including, but not limited to: 1) analyzing reference lab & biomarker testing data, 2) supporting digital marketing efforts including social media, 3) developing promotional materials.

This position will require agency management and cross-functional team partnership to take projects through legal/medical/regulatory review. In addition to marketing program execution, this person will also be responsible for field operations support and project management.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, the Graduate Intern should be a strong candidate for a full-time position in a biotech/pharmaceutical marketing capacity within the industry.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison with outside vendors and agencies to develop and execute marketing pieces
  • Handle the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review process for approval of new materials
  • Support digital marketing plan development and execution including social media
  • Execute on personal brand deliverables such as sales communications, field resources, digital marketing assets, and peer-to-peer content in partnership with Sales, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory
  • Manage Congress Planning and Execution, including coordinating in-person meetings/engagements with Opinion Leaders
  • Manage and track hours and contracts for various consulting and speaking engagements by Opinion leaders
  • Lead inventory management for any print materials
  • Project management and logistical support for various cross-functional work streams for marketing and field team
  • Track and manage budgets for team
  • Collaborate with key partners including, but not limited to: Marketing (other marketing roles), Sales, Access, Corporate Communications, Operational teams, and market research (CS&A) to ensure harmony with programming across all customers

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12-18 months of sales or marketing experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech space
  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or business
  • Understanding of Healthcare Industry regulations and familiarity with promotional review process
  • Demonstrated strength in project management, detail oriented and with a solution-oriented mentality
  • Creative and innovative, while also possessing analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with agencies and publishers to develop and produce engaging creative
  • High learning agility and strong willingness to learn
  • Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style
  • Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate optimally in a matrix organization
  • Proactive, results-oriented, self-starter motivated by a challenging task
