The Engagement Manager serves as the single point of contact / gateway into studio for a client set, which can consist of Syneos Communications agencies, other Syneos Health companies, and/or direct clients. For clients, the Engagement Managers acts as a holistic business partner, ensuring the studio delivers on their needs and expectations. This role is accountable to ensure client satisfaction.

This specific Engagement Management role is aligned with all the Syneos Health PR teams and acts as not only the primary point of entry but also assist the PR account teams in defining project parameters (if needed), participates in creative ideations sessions and/or tactical recommendation brainstorming (when requested by the PR Creative Core team).

The Engagement Manager assist in defining project parameters and then transitions to the project to a Project Manager for project day to day coordination. At this point, the Engagement Manager will only have high level visuality into project activities but acts a primary point of escalation. Project Managers should involve EM in project reviews in high visibility projects to ensure quality delivery.

This role is also a partner to the PR Creative Core team and will play a primary triage role to ensure the appropriate work filters to the Creative Core team and the studio according to agreed criteria. The EM will ensure the Creative Core team is being integrated into the PR work and redirect appropriate projects to the Creative Core team.

 

Responsibilities

Client/Business Management

This role will act as the local leadership for studio to ensure we are meeting or exceeding our client’s expectations holistically.

Builds, maintains and nurtures the client relationship with key stakeholders (across disciplines).

  • Acts as an advocate for our business and continually builds awareness
    • Ensures organization is aware of all studio capabilities (across the entire network) which includes: Capability presentations, recent work presentations and other connections points that builds awareness.
    • Promote and recommend studio services as appropriate
  • Handles challenges in a professional manner and manages disagreements with clients in a diplomatic way to ensure win/win solutions for all parties.
  • Responsible for client satisfaction and will work with appropriate studio leadership to address any concerns or issues with studio performance, personnel or potential client issues.
  • Represents the studio in new business opportunities
  • Primary escalation for quality issues, workflow gaps or general performance concerns.
  • Can partner with PR Account to participates in creative ideations sessions and/or tactical recommendation brainstorming as needed (in collaboration with the Creative Core)

Intake

  • Acts as a gate keeper for all in-coming projects ensuring project request is clearly defined and provides all necessary information (links, assets, etc.)
  • Directs projects to the appropriate team (studio or Creative Core) or discipline lead for specialty groups (Content Production, Technology) who will resource manage the project to the appropriately resource
  • Holistically represents studio in key milestones such as triage and intake meetings, project status meetings, project planning/scoping, etc.

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Marketing/advertising/PR cross-channel creative execution and production experience required
  • Proven leadership skills to manage group dynamics and difficult situations, and steer clients in the right direction
  • Spanish-language proficiency is a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $61,000 to $100,000.  The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.  Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  In addition, some positions MAY include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
