The BD Account Manager role plays a fundamental part in the success of the BD team ensuring the smooth running and knowledge sharing across the business units. You will work closely with all Europe Business Development team members to support new business and organic growth opportunities ensuring all activities are captured in relevant reporting, as well as providing company experience and project management support across responses. The BD Account Manager will drive a Learning and Development calendar of activity and collaborate with wider business functions to deliver new content to teams across Europe.

This role will include liaising with business unit leads across European Communications, business development, and wider functions to maintain Syneos Health knowledge management. You will be interacting with European and Global Business Development teams to create and provide regular performance updates. Continuously monitor and maintain data quality of the system and ensure the European business is compliant with its use.



  • RFI / RFP delivery

    • Lead RFI responses by maintaining a knowledge library of Syneos Health experience, cases and further content to assess and support in client responses
    • Work with various units (e.g. HR, Global Privacy, Europe Business teams) across the business to develop client ready RFI responses, whilst refreshing/maintaining a database of information
    • Develop client-ready capabilities presentations
    • Support RFP responses by providing project management skills and collating best-in-class content
    • Own MS Teams Europe Comms BD Library ongoing maintenance, including content that lives in the Europe Communications BD library 
      • Stay engaged with BD proposal leads to capture latest new content for library
      • Identify and lead opportunities to develop new content to support growth
      • Support internal and external partner network to enhance collaboration and facilitate where we can best leverage relationships and resources
      • Connects with cross-business Clinical and Full-Service Commercial solutions to drive efficiencies and collaboration on RFI / RFP delivery
  • Europe BD Learning & Development

    • Plan and lead delivery of the Europe Communications BD Learning & Development calendar
    • Coordinate with BD, Finance and HR to develop, schedule and sign off educational initiatives
    • Lead internal communications with Business Units. Share clear and concise communications with all individuals engaged in initiatives
    • Lead BD partnership with individual Business Unit’s to collaborate on initiatives
    • Promote BD visibility through internal communications to the wider business
  • Knowledge management & reporting

    • Act as a point of contact for all incoming knowledge requests to Europe Communications agencies
    • Liaise with business units to update or develop new client ready case studies and experience to build upon the knowledge library
    • Work with Europe Communications Business Units leads and Salesforce representatives to drive compliance, consistency of usage as primary data source, and maximize data quality
    • Provide all necessary scheduled and ad-hoc training support to all Salesforce representatives within Europe Comms
    • Develop timely and accurate reports representing Europe Communications new business opportunities to inform Syneos Health Europe and Global leadership across the business
    Conduct ad-hoc reporting using Salesforce when requested

    • Demonstrates understanding of the healthcare industry and apply to day-to-day work (e.g. share insights and new across relevant internal teams)
