Overview

Due to the expanding portfolio in Belgium, our client is looking for a Product Manager - Belgium, with Cardiovascular therapy area experience. Ideally you will be based in the Flanders region (our client is also open to considering someone based elsewhere in Belgium). 

Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director, you will be responsible for the marketing of the portfolio of products in Belgium. This includes both market and scientific research, developing the plans for positioning their products and being involved in the implementation of your own plans. You will work closely together in a small and dynamic team and have the opportunity to use both your commercial and scientific skills.

You will have overall responsibility for activities within a therapeutic area including P&L, financial performance, strategic marketing, market access, life cycle management, designing strategies to engage with KOLs, patient groups and other stakeholders to further differentiate and advance the company brands.

You will also support the Cardio Franchise and Global Strategic Marketing business area by developing and implementing global brand plans, market access, marketing programs, new product planning for pipeline CV projects, and LCM strategy. This cardio role works with all departments across the business and will be supported by a digital content creation platform and marketing resources.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will also include:  

  • Screening & analysing of scientific studies
  • Identify market developments and make recommendations for commercial activities with a focus on the added value of the products and brands
  • Work together with the Business Unit Director and Chief Brand Officer to create local and global brand plans and marketing programs
  • Develop and implement marketing materials & sales promotional tools and ensure validation and follow-up
  • Train the sales force in both scientific as well as in marketing and encourage and support them in the field
  • Deduct and translate scientific data in commercial recommendations and easy understandable core messages
  • Give scientific presentations/clinical lessons to HCPs
  • Relationship management, expanding and maintaining contacts with all relevant stakeholders including building and maintaining a KOL network
  • Attend national/international scientific congresses
  • Close communication, both internally (sales, logistics) as well as with the company business partners
  • Attend product manager meetings of business partners
  • Work closely with Global Market Access director to develop and implement market access activities for the Cardiovascular Franchise

Job Requirements

What we are looking for: 

  • Degree in life sciences (medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences)
  • Marketing Experience in Pharma / Biotech and/or leadership experience in healthcare
  • Experience in Digital Marketing; including in marketing strategy, brand planning, multi-channel (digital and non-digital) marketing operations and campaign/tactic execution/management.
  • Experience in the Cardiovascular field
  • Proven track record of coordinating and collaboration across multiple teams to prioritise varying business objectives and drive action to meet business requirements
  • Experience with, business case development, including setting market price and management/communication or brand performance
  • Working knowledge of financial metrics and ability to monitor performance of activities undertaken
  • Project/programme management and ability to effectively author creative briefs
  • Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment
  • Ability to thrive and deliver in a cross-functional team and work to deadlines
  • Ability to translate scientific findings into easy understandable language
  • Commercial mindset
  • Strong personality, passionate, pro-active and a real team player
  • Fluent communication skills and excellent speaking and writing skills in Dutch and French
  • Good knowledge of English
