Responsibilities

The Area Business Manager is responsible for all aspects of sales, market development and strategic business planning and implementation for promoted products in the assigned territory. This individual works interdependently with Account Management, Marketing, and other members within Sales as appropriate to assure the pull-through strategies and tactics will achieve the desired sales results. The Associate Area Business Manager:

  • Leverages a deep understanding of each customer’s environment to actively engage them with the intention of gaining commitment to utilize products.
  • Meets and exceeds annual sales goals that contribute to the overall company objectives while acting in complete and total compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
  • Identifies and allocates appropriate resources; tracks results against the plan over time, and adjusts priorities and resources as customers and markets change during the performance period
  • Understands and has an intimate knowledge of the customer and market influences within their territory
  • Develops specific plans of action to leverage this understanding as necessary to drive sales results.

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance, and an encouraging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ Years of B2B / light pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Proven track record of success with outside sales experience     
  • Good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Must have excellent analytical and technical skills working with MS Office

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000 to $85,500.  The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.  Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
