Responsibilities

The Medical Engagement Center Lead is responsible for identifying HCPs (Health Care Professionals) at community hematology /oncology clinics to support medical affairs engagement initiatives through virtual disease education. Responsibilities include speaking directly with the HCPs to educate on oncology rare disease unmet needs and generating qualified medical leads for the field medical team. This remote, virtual position requires a strategic, adaptable, collaborative and tenacious professional to interact with clinicians in the community oncology setting. For now, they will focus on 1-2 therapeutic areas.

  • Increase disease awareness related to targeted HCPs
  • Generate leads for field medical teams in support of medical affairs initiatives
  • Consistently gain insights in order to identify HCPs of assigned rare diseases
  • Attend and complete all training courses and related competency assessments required, to an appropriate standard and within a specified timeframe
  • Other tasks may be assigned as required to support business and clinical needs

Along with a demonstrated customer focus and relationship management, the ability to drive results, communicate and influence the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Active RN license or Advanced Degree (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/PharmD/MSN/RPH) required.
  • 2-3 years in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry preferred
  • Relevant experience in the rare disease space is beneficial
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Is a great collaborator with field medical and other cross-functional teams as appropriate
