Such talent and passion make you the right fit for this unique Director, Managed Markets and Government Accounts role with Syneos Health.


The Director, Managed Markets and Government Accounts will initially focus on the Department of Defense (DOD) in order to gain access and drive policy for the utilization of travel Vaccines. The Director will ultimately lead a team of approximately two national account managers accountable for developing relationships with payer and Employer decision-makers at priority Corporate Accounts (Commercial Payers, Employers, Employer Benefits Consultants)

Responsibilities of the account team include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively differentiating and selling the product
  • Establishing its value proposition, facilitating P&T committee reviews
  • Submitting bids, leading negotiations and executing contracts
  • This team is responsible for gaining formulary access and reimbursement of the client’s designated assets.

The Director will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing the National and Account team members. The successful candidate is expected to be a high-impact professional who will be evaluated against established access and reimbursement objectives.

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • BS/BA degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years in biopharma account sales and sales leadership positions
  • Proven results in leading a team of senior sales and/or account professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of government, commercial payers, and Employer accounts
  • Access to Military Treatment Facilities (MTF)
  • Understanding of Uniform Formulary (UF), Basic Core and Extended Core Formulary (BCF, ECF),
  • Experience with vaccines preferred
  • Experience with Buy & Bill products required
  • Ability to travel ~ 50%
