JOB SUMMARY

This role will work closely with the Principal Solution Engineer, providing engineering and configuration support for systems used to support the Deployment Solution business; namely Salesforce based platforms, and their various integrations with related systems in the enterprise.

Provides advanced Tier 2 and 3 technical support, system administration, and supports ongoing enhancements to the platforms.  Assists with the coordination of resolutions provided by the vendor support team. Mentors and trains staff, as necessary.

The primary focus of this role will be salesforce.com admistration and configuration, but the ideal candidate will have some Apex and be able to read code. May run a test script from time to time.

 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Provides implementation, configuration, and administrative support for new client and business requirements.
  • Provides troubleshooting and resolution support for technical issues related to the system
  • As necessary, executes manual test cases created per technical specifications for testing integration applications and software process.
  • Provides troubleshooting and resolution support for technical issues related to the system
  • Leverages optimization techniques to maximize the efficiency of all computer systems.
  • Ensures all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to BT teams regarding new technologies and system requirements.
  • Ensures that new solutions comply with design specifications and system best practices.
  • Works with other BT groups to ensure interoperability and performance for applications and infrastructure.
  • Provides technical advice and guidance to the Business Analyst and Project Management teams.
  • As needed, assists other team members in the creation of Proof of Concepts to provide practical demonstrations of proposed solutions.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging technologies
  • Works with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills.
  • Executes manual test cases created per technical specifications for testing integrated applications and software products.
  • Communicates steps and outcomes of test case execution upon opening a defect in the tracking system.
  • Closes defects in the tracking system when the defect has been resolved and meets stated requirements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Graduate degree, preferably in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound understanding of solution engineering best practices
  • Salesforce.com technical experience - Salesforce.com admin experience is a big plus
  • Commercial application experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and third-party suppliers
  • Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude, able adapt to a fast paced and changing environment
  • Previous experience in healthcare industry is a plus
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
