  • What are the responsibilities of a Syneos Health Pharmaceutical Sales Representative?

    Our Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives work in partnership with our clients promoting their products within clinical settings to healthcare professionals. Syneos Health Representatives are experts in the product lines they promote and possess a keen understanding of the illnesses their drugs treat. Our Representatives serve as specialist to their physicians and have the skilled knowledge required to accurately convey the details on their products and answer any questions involving its use and benefits to their patients.

  • What would a typical day look like for a Syneos Health Representative?

    For our Representatives, generally no two days are alike. Our Representatives begin their day by preparing a plan of action regarding which area(s) of their territory they will be focusing on to visit and the physicians they will be targeting. Adaptability and efficiency are a must, and our Representatives work to accommodate their physicians’ schedule and availability. Days in the field are not routine and may include office visits, hosting educational programs and lunch meetings.

  • What education/professional background is needed for this position?

    A Bachelor’s Degree is required for our Pharmaceutical Sales Representative positions. A sciences-based and/or a sales/business-based degree is preferred, but not required. Previous sales experience, whether in pharmaceutical, medical and/or business-to-business sales, is often times required, however; we do work with entry-level candidates who possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to step in to a challenging sales role!

  • Building a territory and relationships

    All of our Representatives are responsible for managing an assigned territory or region, and overnight stays may be required. Because our Representatives visit physicians within their given territory multiple times, building a strong relationship is a must. Understanding their physicians’ needs and communicating how their product can benefit their patients is a strategy our Representatives practice towards building a successful relationship.
