We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Virtual Support Specialist.  

The Engagement Center Support Specialist is responsible for providing inbound customer support in a virtual environment. Duties include but are not limited to answering numerous inbound phone lines, email communication, outbound follow-up calls, and system documentation. The Support Specialist will assist Merck customers and Merck Vaccine field representatives in the US with placing Merck Vaccine customer orders, providing simple shipping updates, and answering customer questions on the Merck Vaccines web portal.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone professionally and expeditiously
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Research required information using available resources
• Transfer customer complaints accurately
• Provide customers with service information
• Identify and escalate priority issues
• Route calls to appropriate resource
• Maintain excellent notes in appropriate systems
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

• High School degree or GED required
• Associate’s or BA/BS degree preferred
• Relevant experience required with 1+ years previous telephone customer service experience.
• Experience in high-pressure and fast paced environment
• Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and follow up, detail oriented
• Excellent and persuasive communication skills, both oral and written
• Powerful customer focus; effective listener
• Ability to function effectively with other team members in a team environment
• Efficient computer and data entry skills; ability to learn new systems and programs quickly
• Strong multi-tasking ability
• Detail oriented
• The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
• Ability to work remotely with client hardware hardwired into local home internet
