The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will assist in supporting our business goals by defining the testing strategies and protocols for analytic dashboard and reporting projects by leveraging our cloud infrastructure and proprietary products & insights platform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor and coach a team of QA testers and team members.
  • Work independently to solve complex open-ended questions.
  • Create and apply BI functional testing techniques throughout the BI development lifecycle.
  • Create and apply automated data validation tests that ensure a high degree of data quality.
  • Complete efficient defect troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Perform quality audits to deliver updates and feedback on success as well as areas for improvement.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for team members by hiring, training, mentoring, providing feedback/recognition, and delegating duties
  • Analyze key quality metrics and drivers to recommend changes to improve quality control processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifying and setting appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicating quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinating product testing processes.
  • Participating/overseeing product testing.
  • Identifying and analyzing issues, defects.
  • Reviewing client and user feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Collaboratively working as part of an Agile product team to create and test our mobile solutions, web app, and API.
  • Create detailed Test plans.
  • Provide high level status update to the senior leadership on quality metrics for various projects.
  • Manage and create test cases and execution paths based on product requirements.
  • Identifying the appropriate data for testing and work on data conditioning needs.
  • Evaluating product functionality using manual and automated testing methods.
  • Document and prioritize defects and work with the team to resolve them.

  • BS/BA Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of QA experience with excellent knowledge of QA best practices.
  • Testing experience on BI platforms.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, ADW, Power BI & Tableau.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses, Snowflake preferred.
  • Experience in issue tracking tools and test management tools (Writing test cases, test execution, defects life cycle and generating reports).
  • Conversant with ELT and Report testing.
  • Good knowledge on Agile framework, testing methodologies, and SDLC.
  • SQL competency across multiple database technologies (Oracle and Snowflake preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and logical approach to problem solving.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team of 5+ professionals.
  • Experience working with bug tracking software such as Jira.
  • Experience in developing a STLC (Software Test Life Cycle).
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in working in an onsite-offshore model and working with a virtual team (US and India).
