The Assessment & Insights Project Manager plays a crucial role in is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing projects from beginning to end, ensuring they are completed effectively on time and on budget.  Capable of managing multiple projects at the same time.

The Assessment & Insights Project Manager, collaborates as needed with the Commercial and Clinical BD teams and functions as a member of Clinical and Commercial Project teams. This is a hands on role focused on delivering high quality project management oversight and direction critical to departmental, sponsor company commitments to Patients, HCPs and Regulators.

The Assessment & Insights Project Manager role is a dynamic position, vendor and partner management, project development & management as well as proposals.  This role will take the lead on conducting some of the patient experience work as well as assist with the development of SOPs for this BU. 

Responsibilities

The Assessment & Insights Project Manager, collaborates as needed with the Commercial and Clinical BD teams and functions as a member of Clinical and Commercial Project teams. This is a hands on role focused on delivering high quality project management oversight and direction critical to departmental, sponsor company commitments to Patients, HCPs and Regulators.

The Assessment & Insights Project Manager role is a dynamic position, vendor and partner management, project development & management as well as proposals.  This role will take the lead on conducting some of the patient experience work as well as assist with the development of SOPs for this BU. 

  • Understands and able to communicate the overall strategic intent of a project and provide project management support to meet the needs of the clients (i.e.., both external and internal).
  • Driver of processes and timeline adherence; ensuring all team members, both internal and external, adhere to process guidelines and work together to problem solve issues
  • Manages overall budget and utilization of contributing resources, revenue tracking, and forecasting throughout project lifecycle to ensure projects stay within scoped timeline and budget, including identifying and escalating requests that are out of scope
  • Understands and knowledge of workload requirements for different tasks
  • Develops project kick-off decks, briefs, and other related materials, as well as facilitates the client and internal kick-off and status meetings- creates related agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Engages with the client throughout the entirety of the project and leads status/other meetings with the client team and internal team members
  • Keeps track of all client requests and global changes and ensures consistency among deliverables form all stakeholders
  • Accurately captures current state and next steps through weekly updates and, if necessary, meeting recaps and distributes to appropriate team members
  • Efficiently manages and understands the legal, medical, regulatory review process for each deliverable
  • Works closely with leadership to provide recommendations for future opportunities throughout projects
  • Collaborates with all project team members to keep projects on track and solve project challenges
  • Assists in developing and maintaining subject matter expertise to support the expanding Syneos Health insight gathering practice
  • Collaborates with the clinical and commercial project teams to schedule survey studies, focus groups & interviews
  • Opportunity to facilitate focus group moderation, vendor and partner management, project development and proposals
  • Assist and contributes on conducting patient experience work as well as assist with the development of SOPs for this BU. 

Specific to Commercial/Medical:

  • Understands interdependency of project deliverables between departments
  • Performs risk assessments and identifies mitigation strategies
  • Understands how to deploy survey assessments through innovative delivery modalities & platforms
  • Conducts needs assessments to evaluate current client needs in response client meetings or  Requests for Proposal (RFP)

Specific to Clinical:

  • Design assessment & insights gathering strategies to deliver the data defined by survey study protocols. This may include ClinROs, PROs, REMS, Semi Structured Interviews, validated and study specific instruments
  • Develop survey study protocols for measuring clinical, patient, HCP, HCO and other reported outcomes
  • Develop study protocol instruments for patient engagement and preference studies
  • Manage collaborations with vendor partners
  • Collaborate with Sponsor Project team partners
  • Analyze and report project progress and findings
  • Design and implement statistical analysis plans for qualitative studies
  • Support development of publications reporting study findings
  • Consult with internal teams in need of measurement strategy support and guidance
  • Serves as a valued partner of internal customers and study sponsors 

Job Requirements

Experience

Required:  Minimum 5+  years of experience in project management in the pharma/biotech industry + clinical research field

 Education

            Required: 4-year college degree

            Preferred: MBA or Master’s Degree

Specific Requirements

  • Project Management: Good at establishing clear directions; effective communicator; problem-solver; adaptable communication style; organized; understands job responsibilities of others and functions appropriately
  • Technical Expertise: MS Office Suite;
  • Preferred: Experience with Project Management software (i.e., Smartsheet, Wrike)
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Able to flex schedule accordingly to handle client requests Flexible Location (Virtual) 

Skills

Required: Bio-pharma assessment & training experience, high-level PowerPoint skills High-level PowerPoint, writing and presentation skills.

Preferred:  Background in Survey Development, Consulting or Biopharma Research. Implementation science and/or Patient Preference experience
